Postcard depicting passengers on a Conch Tour Train.  The description on the verso reads, ‘Depot and Conch Tour Train, Key West, Florida.  The famous 64 passenger Conch Tour Trains operate several conducted lecture tours daily.  Passing over 60 points of interest, these sightseeing trains run from the Atlantic Ocean to the Gulf of Mexico.  This historic old town is the nation’s southernmost city and the only tropical city in the continental U.S.A.’  The message on the verso reads, ‘Hi, Had a ride on this train yesterday.  Visited the Key West Fabric Place today.  Cotton material is only $5.00 and up.  Ready made dresses are really expensive.  Lousy weather only 63 degrees today and raining.  Can’t go in the pool – too cold.  See you on March 5.  Mae’.  The card is addressed to Mrs. Edward Hanndy, 102 East Main Street, Victor, New York, and is postmarked Key West, February 20, 1973.Collection
