Desktop thermometer made from metal said to be recovered from the Spanish cruiser VIZCAYA. The Spanish armored cruiser was destroyed by the US Navy on July 4, 1898, while trying to escape a blockade of Santiago Bay in Cuba during the Spanish-American War.
