Black and white photograph depicting the upper deck of the dredging boat named U.S. Clapet No. 4 with passengers. Used during construction of the Panama Canal, this dredge was taken and used by the United States Navy during World War I. The vessel was returned after the war. The photograph was designed to be attached to a postcard backing.
