Postcard depicting a Key Lime Pie alongside a recipe.  The caption reads, ‘Key Lime Pie, 4 egg yolks, 1 can Condensed Milk.  Beat one egg white stiff.  Fold into above mixture.  Beat remaining egg whites.  Gradually add 6 tablespoons sugar and one half teaspoon of cream of tartar.  Put into baked pie shell and bake until egg whites are brown (350 degrees).’  The description on the verso reads, 'During the early days on the Florida Keys, thrifty wives of "conch" settlers used lime juice from wild limes to devise and bake the now famous Key Lime Pie.  This is an authentic copy of the original recipe.'Collection
