Description

Chenille varsity patch from the Conchettes, the dance team of Key West High School. The patch features a grey chenille field with a red embroidered border and raised red lettering reading '1961–62.' Intended to be worn on a letter jacket or sweater, it commemorates membership on the Conchettes during the 1961–1962 school year. The team, founded in 1955, derives from the school's Conch mascot, a long-standing symbol of Key West and its native residents.
