On September 19, 1964, W68 - Coast Guard Cutter Androscoggin was the largest cutter in the 7th Coast Guard District. It was a 255-foot, high endurance cutter which also served as an ocean station vessel. It was frequently assigned to the Navy Fleet Sonar School, Key West, for training students in anti-submarine warfare.Collection
