Black and white photograph of the 10-passenger Fokker F-7 aircraft that inaugurated Pan-Am's first passenger flight from Key West to Havana on January 16, 1928. The three engine plane made the 90-mile trip in just about an hour, opening a network that later expanded throughout the Caribbean to South America, across the Pacific, and finally the Atlantic. Plane shown is sister-ship to the 'General Machado', the aircraft that inaugurated the first flight.Photograph Details
