Description

Prandoni Brothers brass and iron surveying transit used by Roland L. Wood in laying out the water supply from Miami to Key West in the 1930s, prior to the U.S. Navy installing a water supply from mainland Florida. The instrument was repaired by Wheeler and Walker, Miami, in 1960, according to label in box. Transit has mahogany box and plumb bob, but tripod is missing.
