Postcard depicting a large building behind scattered trees. The caption reads, ‘Chicago Hall and Campus View, Grinnell, Iowa’. The note on the front reads, ‘Received April 30, 1910’. The message on the verso reads, ‘Grinnell, Iowa, Hello Cousin James, How does the world find you this 26th of April? We are all right. Survived all the cold, stormy weather, but hope we will not have any more such. March was fine like June with everything fresh and green, but now it is frozen and withered; have not looked at my garden since the last storm - suppose some things will have to be planted over. Our folks are plowing for corn; we are all busy with the spring work. Sister Orsa was up here and stayed three days last week. I will have to say goodnight with promises of a letter some other time. Cousin Matilda’. The card is addressed to Captain James R. Hattrick, 2113 Manton Street, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and is postmarked Grinnell, Iowa, April 28, 1910.Collection
