Postcard depicting Monroe County Beach at the end of White Street. Notation on verso, 'This beach was constructed in 1947 from an area of solid coral rock. It is a favorite place for windsurfers and hobie cat enthusiasts. The bandstand in the picture was a gun emplacement in World War II. Nearby is the White Street fishing pier and a beach pier which is draped with browning bodies catching the famous rays of the Key West sun. The tree in the background is a graceful Australian pine.'
