Description

A set consisting of a candelabrum (a) and a pair of candlesticks (b,c), each of semi-relief brass mold of a woman seated on a rock and a man standing beside her with his hands resting on his left leg and her left hand resting on his right hand set against a background of palm and other wide leaves. The candelabrum (a) sprouts up behind the figures into an elaborate leaf and lambrequin support for 3 candleholders. Each candleholder is surrounded by a ring of flowers and 4 pairs of birds, positioned beak to beak (as if kissing). Candlesticks (b,c) have similar leaf rod to support single candle holder, also with ring of flowers, tree limbs and 4 pairs of love birds. Each object is set on a double white marble base, with border of brass horseshoe band.
