Description

Leather riding hat,with brim, designed for military uniform. Two halves stitched together along rim, with edges remaining along top. Band of cloth wrapped at bottom, secured with 3 leathr balls, on left side, center ball is framed by tooled sunburst applique. Thin rope/twine is laced from bottom up and over balls. Two labels affixed on interior, of image of man in military costume on horseback, "Henry Storms'/Commission Saddlery/Warehouse/Water Street/Corner of Burling Slip/New York" From Box X
