Description

Group of four steel knitting needles, one bearing a fragment of knitted light brown linen, the group of needles clasped together and punched through a ball of linen yarn From worksheet: Knit pattern is 2 rows knit; 1" of checkerboard 3 knit/3purl: two rows knit; two rows purl. Card with object: "In Dec. 6th 1821 my Grand-mother, Hannah Hagner, laid this work down. Before the next morning her spirit passed into the other world. So far as I know the needles have never been taken out of the ball. Pheobe Hagner "
