Scope and Content

"Diary of Josephine D. Skillman." (Formerly Onderdonck). This is a small account book that Josephine used to write about daily events from 1877 to 1883. It appears the diary goes beyond 1883, but the pages were torn out. Entries mostly discuss small journeys, visitors, deaths, funerals and the weather. There were usually one or two sentences for each day, written in pencil. Inscription on cover, in ink, says "Josephine D. Skillman, 1877." There are files on the Skillman family at King Manor.
