Print of engraving of portrait of James Gore King. Caption reads: Eng'd by A. H. Ritchie with copy of King's signature Reverse has handwritten: James Gore King 1st (1791 - 1853) Third son of Rufus King. This engraving was made for Freeman Hunt's Merchants' Magazine, from a daguerreotype following his death. It was used to illustrate a memoir of him by his brother, Charles King.
