Painting: Oil on canvas. Appears to be some kind of parable. Scene is of an elderly man seated higher than the group of men, pointing while speaking to a younger man. They are both dressed in dark clothing. Behind the young man are two bearded figures, one dressed in red, the other in green, but both wearing light/white turbans. Perhaps they and the elderly man form some sort of council. Whereas, the young man and three others beside him are being warned or advised to remember something important.
Frame: Ornate, gold leaf wood frame with applied gesso ornaments at all four corners. Designs are of leafy, scrolls. Rabbet has floral motif decoration.Collection
