Frame: Wood frame painted black, with glass. Script on backing: "James Gore King 1st 1791-1853. Third son of Rufus King. This engraving was made for Freeman Hunt's "Merchant Magazine" from a daguerrotype following his death. it was used to illustrate a memoir by his brother, Charles King."
