Description

Porcelain teapot, part of incomplete service, with neoclassical style decoration. Iron red band in center of body and lid decorated with gilded leaf motif, white and gilded diamond pattern ground. Edges trimmed with gilding and spout decorated with gilded leaf/foliage pattern. Central medallions on body and lid have gilded monograms of "EK". Tea set consists of 12 spherical shaped cups, 10 saucers and tea cups, 2 medium sized plates, a wastebowl, creamer and plate, sugar bowl and teapot. It belonged to Eliza Gracie King.
