Grant "Hero of the War of the Rebellion" Born April 27, 1822 at Point Pleasant, Ohio. Died on Mt. McGregor, N.Y. July 23, 1885 aged 63 years. Major General W. S. Hancock "He was one of the great soldiers and fairly earned a name enduring as the country he so bravely fought for." Born at Morristown, PA February 14, 1825. Died on Governor's Island, N.Y. February 9, 1886 aged 61 years. Major General John A. Logan "Comrades we need not speak of his history as a Union warrior for he's written with his sword". Born in Jackson Co., IL February 9, 1826. Died at Washington, D. C. December 26, 1886 aged 60 years. The soldiers friend.
