Kinsman Colonial Inn located in Kinsman, Ohio built in 1825. Writing on back "We stopped here several years ago for dinner on our way home from the east. They do serve lovely meals. We ate in the enclosed porch."
The Kinsman Colonial Inn or Tea room was begun in 1922 and carried forth into the early 1950s by Mrs. Eugenia Mackiernan. Many local young people found employment there. Widely renown for its fine food, it was recommended by AAA and a single holiday such as Mother's Day might see more than 400 dinners served. This postcard from the late 1940s shows the building as she expanded it with a broader front porch and a single story wing to the west side. [Although the 1825 date is constantly repeated, the original building was probably constructed shortly after 1830.]Collection
