In January of 1974, wreckage remained of the Kinsman Bandstand after an accident. A truck belonging to the Youngstown Cartage Co. loaded with 32,500 pounds of coiled steel failed to make the turn and hit electric and phone poles causing the coil of steel to roll across the park and knock the bandstand off its foundation. The next morning the vibrations of another passing truck caused it to collapse. Believed to have been built in 1912.Cataloged By
