Context

The heavy gold bracelet was given to Mrs. Jessie Jordan from His Highness Sheikh Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah of Kuwait. Sheikh Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah was the tenth ruler of the Sheikhdom of Kuwait from 1921-1950. He was the longest reining ruler of Kuwait, having reigned for almost 29 years. During his reign, he was the lead cavalry commander, founder of the military of Kuwait, and Directorate of Public Security Force. The small gold charm represents the state of Kuwait with the small ruby and star in the city of Ahmadi, which is where the Jordan’s primarily resided during their time in Kuwait.
