The necklace also has an accompanying matching pair of gulf pearl drop earrings. Rani haar necklaces are typically worn by brides on their wedding day as a part of the Nizami jewelry set. Nizami jewelry refers to the extravagant and expensive jewelry style that flourished during the Nizam Era in Hyderabad, India, from 1724-1948.

The necklace and matching earrings were was gifted to Mrs. Jessie Jordan from Her Highness Sheikha Badriah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, the daughter of His Highness Sheikh Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the 10th ruler of the Sheikhdom of Kuwait from 1921-1950. Her Highness Sheikha Badriah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah was also the sister to Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Emir of Kuwait from 2020-2023.
