Mother of Pearl and olive wood picture shadow box. The middle of the frame contains an onion-domed church with a basin. The outside edge is intricately decorated and there is a depiction of Jesus on the top. According to Mrs. Jordan, the church in the middle is where many Hindu workers for the Kuwait Oil Company attended church when they were home in India.

Context

The Mother of Pearl temple shadow box was gifted to the Jordans by the wife of a government official in Kuwait.
