Silver plate with inscription from Masonic Kuwait Lodge 6810.: Image of the plate engraved with the seal of Kuwait Lodge No. 6810 E.C. and reads “Presented to MR. & MRS. JORDAN by the Worshipful Master, Officers & Brethren of KUWAIT LODGE No. 6810 E.C. in appreciation of their encouragement and support 1949-1961.” The seal of the Kuwait Masonic Lodge has a small Kuwaiti dhow and the traditional Freemason square and compass in it.

Silver plate with inscription from Masonic Kuwait Lodge 6810. The plate was made in Sheffield, England, by Cooper Brothers & Sons Ltd. and is engraved with the seal of Kuwait Lodge No. 6810 E.C. and reads “Presented to Mr. & Mrs. Jordan by the Worshipful Master, Officers & Brethren of Kuwait Lodge No. 6810 E.C. in appreciation of their encouragement and support 1949-1961.” The seal of the Kuwait Masonic Lodge has a small Kuwaiti dhow and the traditional Freemason square and compass in it.

Context

The large silver plate was presented to Mr. and Mrs. Jordan by the Kuwait Masonic Lodge upon Mr. Jordan’s retirement from the Kuwait Oil Company in 1961 and their return to Texas.
