Two wooden wedding chests with brass plating.Context
Red one was given to Mrs. Jordan by Lady Ahmed, wife of Sheik Ahmed and daughter of Sheikh Salim Al-Saban (her name was Bebe Salim) when she found out the Jordan's had a lack of storage at their home in Kuwait; Bebe was married to her cousin, Sheikh Ahmad Al-Jabir Al-Sabah.
Second one is teakwood with brass and was previously used to ship pearls, dates, and other things from Kuwait; used by the Jordans to store clothes in their homeEthnography
