Description

Murano gold glass vase with rose-shaped handles and flared base. The glass vase was made by Arte Vetraria Muranese, or AVEM, in Murano, Italy. The company was founded in 1932 by a coalition of glassblowers: Antonio Luigi Ferro, his son Egidio Ferro, Emilio Nason, and Galliano Ferro. The artists are best known today for their popular, long-running Bizantino series of bright colored ashtrays, bowls, and vases that started in 1953. This vase was likely made during the 1960s.
