Context

The small silver trophy cup was presented to Mr. and Mrs. Jordan by the Kuwait Caledonian Society in appreciation for their commitment to the organization from 1949-1961. The Caledonian Society promoted Scottish cultural and social activities in Kuwait, holding annual events such as the Caledonian Ball and St. Andrews Night and raising money for Scottish and local charities. The Jordans were members of the society from 1949 until Mr. Jordan’s retirement in 1961 and their subsequent return to Texas.
