Carved ivory figurine of St. George Slaying the Dragon on wooden base. The figurine was made sometime during the late 19th-early 20th century. Based off a painting, St. George slaying the dragon represents the triumph of good over evil as he stands over the beast.

Context

The carved ivory figure was gifted to the Jordans by member of the Kuwait Oil Company upon their return from their home, India.
