In a cursive script the certificate reads "This Certifies that Leland Thomas Jordan K.B.E. is an Honorary Member of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas and is entitled to all Benefits and Courtesies due as such. In Witness Whereof the President and Registrar hereunto subscribe their names and have caused the seal of the Society to be hereunto affixed at Austin Texas this 14th day of May A.D. 1971."
