Description

Leland Thomas Jordan ring from Floresville High School (class of 1923) and Jessie Louise Wright Jordan ring from Lufkin High School (class of 1925).

Context

L.T. Jordan graduated from Floresville High School in 1923. Jessie Wright Jordan graduated from Lufkin High School in 1925. While the pair grew up neighbors, L.T.’s family moved to Floresville, just south of San Antonio, Texas, before L.T. started high school while Jessie stayed in Lufkin, Texas, nearly to the Louisiana border in East Texas. The pair continued to write love letters to each other during their time apart. After graduation, L.T. went on to attend Texas A&M University studying mechanical engineering while Jessie attended Tulane Medical School for a year before leaving to join L.T. in moving to Venezuela.
