Description

Lacey Bank Drive-In, 1979. These three black and white film negative strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show a woman in a hooded jumpsuit sitting at the customer service desk inside the bank drive-up, a woman in the driver's seat of a car, and a woman seated at a desk speaking on a telephone. Image 28 shows the woman in the hooded jumpsuit seated on a backless chair or some other piece of furniture. Her hands are interlaced and resting on her left knee. Visible behind her is the drive-up window of Lacey Bank. Images 29 through 35 are nearly identical to image 28. Image 36 is very similar to the previous images, but here the woman has moved her interlaced hands to rest on her right thigh. Image 37 is nearly identical to image 36. Image 38 shows a woman in the driver's seat of a car. She is wearing a blazer over a pinstriped shirt. Images 39 through 42 are nearly identical to image 38. Image 43 shows a woman seated at a desk holding a telephone to her left ear. There is a name placard on the desk which reads "LINDA MATTHEWS." Printed at intervals along the left-hand edge of all of these film negative strips is "KODAK SAFETY FILM 5063."
