Description

Black and white photo of people on the beach at Millersylvania State park. In the foreground is a man with his back to the camera. At the left is a simple merry-go-round consisting of a wooden floor and metal railings above to hold on to. There are about 10 children on the merry-go-round and a man is pushing on a rail to make it spin. There are several picnic tables with people sitting and talking or looking at the lake. Beyond the picnic area is an enclosed swimming area in the lake with swimmers visible. The object that encloses the swimming area is sufficient for people to stand or sit, and many are visible. Beyond that is more of the lake water. There are trees around the picnic area and around the shores of the lake. In the picnic area there are areas of sun and shadow in contrast. There is a white border on all sides. On the back in blue ink is "Millersylvania" and a stamp says "Washington State Parks Photo By Ed Drukman 26006 Aug 10 1952".
