Description

Primary Election, 1973. These three black and white film negative strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show three older women seated at a table, three different older women seated at a different table, and a row of temporary voting booths. All of these images appear to have been captured in a library. Image 13 shows three women seated along one side of a long folding table. All of the women are in the right-hand half of the image. Image 14 is nearly identical to image 13. Image 15 shows three different women seated along one side of a different long folding table. All of the women are in the left-hand side of the image. Image 16 is nearly identical to image 15. Image 17 shows a row of temporary voting booths. A seated person is visible at the right-hand side of the image, but their face is outside of the image frame. Image 18 also shows the row of temporary voting booths. The photographer appears to have been kneeling down when capturing this image. Image 19 is nearly identical to image 18. Image 20 shows the row of temporary voting booths from the opposite end. Visible in the background on the left-hand side of the image are a man and a woman seated at a folding table. Image 21 is nearly identical to image 20. Image 22 is similar to the previous two images, but the photographer has panned to their right slightly. The man and woman are not visible in this image. An empty folding chair is visible in the left-hand side of the background. Printed in alternation along the bottom edge of all of these film negative strips is "KODAK SAFETY FILM" and "KODAK TRI X PAN FILM."
