Description

Ruth Asman of Lacey Realty, 1979. These four black and white film negative strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show an older woman (Ruth Asman) with glasses wearing a vest over a floral-print shirt in an office. She is wearing a nametag which reads "RUTH ASMAN," "Realtor," and "LACEY REALTY, INC." Image 31 shows Ms. Asman seated at a desk and leaning back in her chair. A name placard on the desk reads "RUTH ASMAN." A residential neighborhood is visible through a large window behind Ms. Asman. Image 32 is similar to the previous image, but here Ms. Asman is leaning forward in her chair and resting her arms on the desk. She is resting her head on her right hand. Image 33 shows Ms. Asman going through a book which is laying on her desk. Image 34 is nearly identical to image 33. Images 35 and 36 are nearly identical to image 31. Image 37 is blank. Image 38 shows Ms. Asman leaning back in her desk chair. A passing van is visible through the window behind Ms. Asman. Image 39 shows Ms. Asman seated at her desk, looking at the camera and smiling. Image 40 shows Ms. Asman seated on the edge of her desk with her hands folded on her thigh. She is looking at the camera and smiling. She is shown from the mid-thigh up. Image 41 is very similar to the previous image, but here Ms. Asman is shown from the waist up. Image 42 is nearly identical to image 40. Image 43 is similar to the previous image, but here she is shown from the ankle up. Image 44 shows Ms. Asman exiting a doorway and entering a wooded area. Images 1 through 3 show Ms. Asman standing in the wooded area. Image 4 shows Ms. Asman standing in front of her desk, looking at the camera and smiling. Printed at intervals along one long edge of these film negative strips is "KODAK SAFETY FILM 5063."
