Description

Governor's House, 1979. This single black and white film negative strip was created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show exterior shots of the Governor's House hotel (later known as the Governor hotel) located at 621 Capitol Way South in Olympia, Washington. Image 2 shows the hotel, looking in a northwesterly direction. The back end of a Chevrolet pickup truck with a canopy is visible near the left-hand edge of the image. Image 3 shows the front of the hotel. Leaves are occupying the top portion of the image. Image 4 shows a woman with a purse walking past the camera. The hotel is visible in the background. Image 5 shows the hotel looking in a southwesterly direction. A person on a bike is riding up Capitol Way away from the camera. Image 6 is very similar to image 5, but there is no bicyclist visible in the image. Printed at intervals along the top edge of this film negative strip is "KODAK SAFETY FILM 5063."
