His chin and a portion of his mouth is obscured behind a woman's head. Image 35 shows Mr. Carter facing toward the camera. He is speaking. Image 36 shows Mr. Carter holding an older woman's hand close to this chest. A man facing away from the camera is occupying the bottom-left portion of the image. Image 37 shows Mr. Carter facing a woman with long hair. His head is tipped downward. Image 38 shows Mr. Carter looking downward and speaking to someone. The top of a persons' head is visible at the bottom-center of the image. Image 39 shows Mr. Carter speaking to a woman in glasses wearing a floral-print dress. Mr. Carter is touching his hair. A person wearing a boater hat is facing away from the camera in the left-hand side of the foreground. Image 40 shows Mr Carter cutting a cake with both hands. Image 41 is similar to the previous image, but here Mr. Carter is cutting the cake with one hand. Image 42 shows a man (Del Bausch) in glasses speaking from behind a podium. A microphone is attached to the podium. A Carter/Mondale political sign is on the front of the podium, and on the wall behind the speaker is a larger sign which supports to re-election of Mr. Bausch, a Democrat, to the Washington State Senate. Image 43 shows Mr. Bausch shaking Chip Carter's hand. Image 44 shows Mr. Carter speaking from behind the podium. Mr. Bausch is standing to the left of Mr. Carter. Image 1 is similar to the previous image, but here Mr. Carter is gesturing with his left hand. Image 2 shows Mr. Carter speaking from behind the podium, but Mr. Bausch is no longer in the photo. Image 2 is very similar to the previous image, but here Mr. Bausch is gesturing slightly with his left hand.
