Description

Evergreen Inn, 1973. These four black and white film negative strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show a man and a woman posing with two plaques in front of a large window and a man holding up an engine piston. Image 22 shows at left a woman with glasses wearing a button-up shirt with two parallel lines of a floral pattern down the front. She is holding a small shield-shaped plaque. At right is a man in a suit and tie holding a larger plaque with several different metal pieces attached to the front. The man is supporting the shield-shaped plaque with his right hand. The woman is looking down at the plaque and the man is looking at the woman. Image 23 is very similar to the previous image, but here both the man and the woman are looking toward the camera. Image 24 is very similar to the previous image, but here the photographer has moved to their right slightly. Image 25 shows the man and woman both looking at the camera. The photographer has moved to their left several feet, and a doorway is partially visible at the right-hand side of the background. Image 26 is looking upward at the man and woman. A plant with spike-like fronds is visible in the bottom, lefthand corner of the image. Image 27 shows a man with long sideburns wearing a cap and overalls holding up an engine piston in his right hand and looking at the camera. The image is oriented horizontally. Image 28 is very similar to the previous image, but here the man is looking at the piston. Image 29 is very similar to the previous image, but here the photographer has moved slightly to their left. In this image the name patch on the man's overalls is visible. It reads "Glen." Image 30 is nearly identical to image 29. Image 31 is nearly identical to image 28. Image 32 is similar to the previous images, but this image is oriented vertically. The man also has an angry or disgusted look on his face. Image 33 is nearly identical to the previous image. Image 34 is similar to the previous image, but here the camera is looking upward at the man's face. Image 35 is similar to the previous image, but here the man has turned more toward the camera. Image 36 is nearly identical to image 30. Printed in alternation along one long edge of all of these film negative strips is "KODAK SAFETY FILM" and "KODAK TRI X PAN FILM."
