Description

YWCA Carpenter, 1973. These two black and white film negative strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show a young woman with glasses in a long-sleeved polo shirt sawing a 2x4 with a handsaw. A man is standing next to the woman and holding onto one end of the 2x4 to stabilize it. Image 31 shows the woman sawing and the man holding the end of the 2x4. The woman's left leg is almost completely obscured behind a leg of the workbench. This image is oriented vertically. Image 32 is very similar to the previous image, but here both of the woman's legs are visible. Image 33 is similar to the previous image, but here the photographer has moved to their left slightly. The man's right arm is partially obscuring the woman's torso. Image 34 is similar to the previous images, but here the photographer is looking down upon the man and woman. Image 35 is very similar to the previous image, but here the photographer has zoomed in on the man and woman. Image 36 is very similar to all of the other images, but here the image is oriented horizontally. Image 37 is similar to the previous images, but here the bottom half of the man's right leg is outside of the bottom edge of the image. Printed in alternation along the right-hand edge of all of these strips is "KODAK SAFETY FILM" and "KODAK TRI X PAN FILM."
