Description

Gymnast Minnetti, Unknown Date. These two black and white film negative strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show a young woman in a gymnastics outfit doing the splits on a carpeted floor near a wooden desk. These images were captured in the Lacey Leader offices. Image 10 shows the young woman doing the splits. The right-hand bank of drawers on the desk is visible at the left-hand edge of the image. An open doorway or entrance to a hallway is partially visible at the right-hand edge of the image. The young woman is looking toward the camera with a blank expression on her face. Image 11 is similar to the previous image, but here the young woman is smiling toward the camera and is holding her right arm up above her head in a similar way to a ballet dancer. Image 12 shows the young woman leaning forward onto her right leg. Her arms are spread out behind her. Image 13 shows the young woman sitting up and looking toward her left. The woman is still holding her arms back and spread outward slightly. Image 14 shows the young woman looking toward the camera and smiling. Her hands are both palm-down on the ground at her sides. Image 15 is nearly identical to image 14. Printed along the right-hand edge of these film negative strips is "KODAK SAFETY FILM" and "KODAK TRI X PAN FILM."
