Senior Center, Unknown Date. These two black and white film negative strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show two older men speaking inside what appears to be a concession stand, and a group of three older women and an older man playing cards. These images appear to have been captured at the Olympia Senior Center.
Image 9 shows the two men talking. Both men have glasses. The man on the left (Lyle Klotz) is wearing a plaid jacket and has a crutch under his right arm. The man on the right is holding a plate in hi left hand. The man at left is speaking. Image 10 is very similar to the previous image, but here the man at left is not speaking. The man at the right is smiling or laughing. Image 11 shows both men smiling or laughing. Image 12 is very similar to the previous images, but here the photographer has either zoomed out or moved away from the two men. This image is oriented horizontally. Image 13 is similar to the previous image, but here the image is oriented vertically. Here a second crutch is visible under the man's left arm. Image 14 is nearly identical to image 13. Image 15 shows an older woman and an older man seated at a folding card table and playing cards. The woman is at left, and she is facing away from the camera. The man is wearing glasses and is holding both hands a few inches over the table top. A third person is partially visible at the right-hand edge of the image. Image 16 shows the three older women and the older man playing cards. The man is at the top left, and he is looking at his cards. The cards of the two women closer to the camera are visible. A framed painting is partially visible at the top edge of the image. Image 17 is very similar to the previous image, but here the man is leaning forward onto the table and looking toward the woman in the bottom-left corner of the image. Image 18 is very similar to image 16, but here the photographer has moved to their right slightly, making more of the woman on the far right's body visible.
Printed in alternation along one long edge of both of these film negative strips is "KODAK SAFETY FILM" and "KODAK TRI X PAN FILM."Made/Created
