Police Patrol, 1978. These three black and white film negative strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show shots taken from the passenger seat of a police cruiser. The steering wheel and dashboard are visible in the images. Also shown is a police cruiser and a second car pulled over to the side of the road in a traffic stop. Image 14 shows an interior shot of a police cruiser. Visible at the left is the steering wheel with a person's left hand on it. Also visible is the left-hand side of the dashboard. A street and several buildings are visible through the car's windshield. Image 15 is very similar to the previous image, but here the photographer has panned to the right slightly. Only the thumb of the hand on the steering wheel is visible. Trees are visible through the windshield. Images 16 through 19 are nearly identical to image 15. Image 20 shows a police cruiser pulled over on the side of a road. A car parked in front of the police cruiser is almost completely obscured by the police cruiser. A man in a coat with a fur or wool collar is stading outside of the car in front of the police cruiser. This man is facing away from the camera. Two gas stations are visible in the background. Image 21 is similar to image 20, but here the photographer has moved to their left by approximately twenty feet. Here much more of the second car is visible. The driver's side door of the car is open. An SUV-style car is partially visible at the left-hand side of the image frame. Image 22 is very similar to th previous image, but here the police officer and the SUV-style car is not visible in the image frame. Image 23 is very similar to the previous image, but here a car is passing the police cruiser and the other parked car. Image 24 shows the same scene, but here the photographer has moved to a position lined up with the back of the police cruiser. The second car is partially visible to the right-hand side of the image frame. Imae 25 is very similar to the previous image, but here the photographer has moved closer to or zoomed in on the two cars. Image 26 is nearly identical to image 25.Made/Created
