Dr. Larry Jones, SMC, 1978. These two black and white film negative strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show a man with a beard (Dr. Larry Jones) and two children in what appears to be a private home. Image 38 shows the man seated on a couch. The two children are in front of him. The older child is on the right kneeling down in front of the couch. The younger child is seated in a small chair in front of the couch. This younger child appears to have a disability. The man is helping to hold the younger child up with his right hand. The younger child's head is tipped to their left. All three people are looking toward the camera. Image 39 is nearly identical to the previous image. Image 40 is very similar to the previous two images, but here the younger child's head is tipped to their right. Image 41 is very similar to images 38 and 39, but here the younger child's face is turned more toward the older child. Image 42 is nearly identical to image 41. Image 43 shows the younger child sitting on a carpet on the floor. The child's hands are on the floor in front of them. The man is kneeling behind the child and is touching the child's sides lightly with both hands. The man is looking down at the child, and the child is looking to the left of the camera. Image 44 is very similar to the previous image, but here the younger child and the man are looking toward the right-hand side of the image. The older child is partially visible at the right-hand edge of the image. Image 1 is very similar to the previous two images, but here the man is resting his hands on the child's shoulders and looking downward.
The "SMC" in the title presumably refers to Saint Martin's College, and Dr. Jones was likely a faculty member there.
Printed at intervals along one long edge of these film negative strips is "KODAK SAFETY FILM 063."Made/Created
