Description

Old Cars, 1978. These two black and white film negative strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show two automobiles produced by the Kaiser-Frazer Corporation, likely in the early 1950s. The car on the left has a Kaiser Motors logo on it and it reads "KAISER" along the top portion of the front bumper. The car on the left has a coat-of-arms logo on the front of the hood, and under this logo it reads "FRAZER." The cars are parked next to eachother with their front ends closer together than their back ends. They are parked on a grassy lawn. Image 2 shows the two cars. The front end and the passenger side of the car on the left is visible, while only the front end of the car on the right is visible. What appears to be the broken trunk of a tree is sticking up behind the two cars. Image 3 is similar to the previous image, but here the photographer has moved approximately 25 feet to their right. Here the front end and the driver's side of both of the cars are visible. A garage or small barn is visible in the background. This building has a open garage-sized door on its left-hand side. Image 4 shows the two cars, but here the photographer appears to only be approximately 10-12 feet away from the car on the left. The front, passenger side corner of this car is the corner nearest to the camera. Image 5 was taken from a very similar position to that of image 4, but here the photographer has stooped down toward the ground. Images 6 and 7 are nearly identical to image 5. Images 8 and 9 are nearly identical to image 4.
