Black and white photo of a freighter at the Port of Olympia. There is water in the foreground. The bow of the ship is visible with some booms and cables visible. The side of the ship is black and there are white Japanese symbols and in English is "Erie Maru". Also visible is an anchor chain that is vertical. Above the foredeck are objects, some of which resemble vehicles which may be on the dock behind the freighter. There is a white border on all sides, and in the bottom border is "#49" and "7/4 27". On the back is "8081". This print is inserted along with a negative of the image into a brown envelope that has typed on it "Olympia July 4, 1927 Jap freighter at Port Dock". Stamped is "49" and "indexed".Made/Created
