Description

Black and white negative of a portion of downtown Olympia. The image was taken from a room in the Security Building. In the foreground is the roof of a business building. That portion of the print is dark, but skylights, vents, and other objects are detectable. On the roof at left is a tower similar to an oil rig, with a pole extending further up. Beyond all that is the side of a building with windows and above it is a roof with various objects. Beside that building is a church with roof and windows below and roof and gables above. In the background are distant trees and houses. There is a white border on all sides, and in the bottom border is "#127" and "1929". The negative is inserted into a brown envelope along with a print of the image. On the envelope is typed "Olympia 1929 View from office in Security Building, Room 501 Bulb exposure". Stamped is "127" and "indexed".
