Description

Black and white negative of oyster shells behind a building. In the foreground is a dirt street or alley. In the center of the image is a dark-colored pole rising to the top of the image. Behind that is a two-story building with an awning on the lower floor and windows on the upper floor. Next to the building are barrels, a pile of oyster shells, people, and a horse. There is a white border on all sides, and in the bottom border is "#222" and "10/15/29". The negative is inserted along with a print of the image into a brown envelope. On the envelope is typed "New Orleans--Oyster Shells bak [sic]of French Market 10/15/29". Stamped is "222" and "indexed".
