Description

Plants, 1978. These three black and white contact print strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show tomatoes, corn, squash and sunflowers growing. They also show a woman blocking her face from the camera. Image 44 shows a hanging tomato plant. Image 1 is nearly identical to the previous image. Image 2 shows the upper stalk an tassel portion of a corn stalk . Image 3 shows a small ear of corn growing on a corn stalk. Image 4 shows a group of corn stalks. Image 5 shows several small squash growing amongst many squash vines and leaves. Image 6 is very similar to the previous image, but here the image is centered on one of the squashes. Image 7 again shows squash growing, Image 8 shows the flower portion of a sunflower. Image 9 is nearly identical to the previous image. Image 10 shows a squash plant from nearly ground level. Image 11 shows a tomato plant. Image 12 again shows a tomato plant. Image 13 shows an older woman with permed hair holding her left hand up to block her face from being photographed. She appears to be smiling. She is standing in a home's back yard. She is shown from the waist up. Image 14 is very similar to the previous image, but here the woman is shown from the chest up.
