Unidentified People, 1978. These two black and white contact print strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show a man and a woman posing in a shop, and a seated woman displaying a painting of a man riding a horse. Image 22 shows the man and woman in the shop. The woman is at the center of the image. She is wearing a knitted vest over a patterned, long-sleeved top. She has curly, shoulder-length hair. A man is standing immediately to the right of the woman. He has thick, slightly wavy hair and he is wearing a tight, unbuttoned polo shirt. The man and the woman are shown from the waist up. The woman is holding a small horse stuffed animal. Partially visible to the left of the woman is a plaid shirt with overalls on a hanger. In the background to the left of the woman is a stuffed toy which resembles an old woman is a spotted onesie with a hood. To the right of this toy is a stuffed animal panda bear. There is a considerable amount of patterned drapery visible in the background. Both the man and woman are looking toward the camera. Image 23 is similar to the previosu image, but here the man and woman are looking off to the left-hand side of the image. Image 24 through 27 are nearly identical to image 24. Image 42 shows a woman seated in a chair displaying a painting. The painting is resting on the floor, and she is holding the top edge with both hands. The painting shows a man riding a horse. The woman has a ribbon tied around her hair and she is wearing what appears to be a robe with a Southwestern Native American design scheme. The room has wood-paneled walls and is carpeted. A fabric bag is partially visible at the left-hand edge of the image. Image 43 is nearly identical to the previous image.Made/Created
