Color Contest Winners, 1980. These two black and white contact print strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show two different girls posing individually for photos. In some of the images the girls are displaying an illustration of a Christmas tree. Image 27 shows a girl with long, wavy hair which is parted down the center. She is wearing a blazer over a turtleneck sweater. The girl is sitting in a chair with a leather or fabric back and wood arms. She is looking toward the camera and smiling. She is shown from approximately the waist up. Images 28 and 29 are nearly identical to the previous image. Image 30 shows the same girl seen in the previous three images, but here she is standing and holding an illustration of a Christmas tree in front of her torso. The illustration appears to be folded horizontally across the center, suggesting that it was included in a periodical, likely the Lacey Leader newspaper. The side of a large piece of office equipment is visible at the right-hand side of the image. Images 31 and 32 are nearly identical to image 30. Image 33 shows a different girl than the one seen in the previous images. This girl has straight, shoulder-length hair which curls in at the bottom, and long bangs. She is wearing a plaid, button-up shirt with frills at the neck and wrists, and a flower-print skirt. She is looking at the camera and smiling. She is shown from the mid-thigh up. Image 34 is nearly identical to the previous image. Image 35 shows the same little girl seen in the previous two images, but here she is holding up an illustration of a Christmas tree. This illustration is identical to the one held by the other girl in images 30-32. Image 36 is nearly identical to image 35.Made/Created
